VR/AR Competence Network
In the VR/AR Competence Network, the scientific, content-related and technical expertise of the University of Wuppertal is further developed in broadly diversified subject areas. In this way, competencies are bundled in different areas of activity and cooperation is strengthened across faculty boundaries. For this purpose, stakeholders who are active in the context of augmented and virtual reality within the scope of their research and teaching tasks at the university have come together and developed a joint cooperation structure.
Within this network structure, the different learning, teaching and working environments that exist at the University of Wuppertal in the form of VR/AR labs are also made visible and accessible. Information about the individual labs, which are dedicated to specific tasks and research questions as well as interdisciplinary cooperation, is summarized on this page. It serves as a first point of contact for interested people who want to deal with the use of augmented and virtual reality, e.g. in the context of their scientific qualification (research projects and theses), as well as in the context of their employment at the university.
In addition to information on the technical infrastructure, fields of activity and research are assigned to the individual laboratories, which have been supplemented by contact information for contact persons.
A very important goal of the competence network is the accessibility of knowledge, know-how and expertise around the meaningful use of Augmented Reality, since the cooperation partners expect a high added value especially in this area from an open and interdisciplinary exchange, which should serve among other things to reduce entry barriers and inhibitions in the practical use of Augmented and Virtual Reality.
You are welcome to contact the players of the competence network at any time.
